GLA History

Early 1992

GLA Network Technologies (GLA) was founded in St. Louis as a telecommunications consulting and engineering firm by a group of experienced and successful industry executives, consultants and engineers.

Early 1994

GLA acquired Design Extender, a full-service fiber-optic/coaxial cable CATV design and mapping company with over 12 years of successful operating history. In late 1994, GLA merged with GDS, telephony engineering and information systems company founded in 1987. This merger added computer-based telephone network design and engineering services plus a large variety of telephone system software products to GLA's range of service and systems offerings.

June 1998

GLA International, previously a division of Brooks Fiber Properties (a wholly-owned division of WorldCom) announced the completion of a transaction to become an independent company. The spin-off was accomplished through an internal management buy-out by the senior executives, led by GLA's President Jim Moffit, former President of Contel's Central Region and one of the founders of Brooks Fiber Properties. In addition to Jim Moffit, the senior management team includes Charles Morrison, Shayne Barr, David Howard, and Dean Stoneburner -- all have extensive backgrounds in telecommunications, CATV and entrepreneurial ventures.

March 2000

GLA International became GLA Network Technologies as part of reorganization in conjunction with a partnership agreement with UtiliCorp. GLA Network Technologies is now a subsidiary of Everest Global Technologies Group and remains headquartered in St Louis, Missouri.

March 2002

GLA New Ventures announced the execution of an agreement to acquire StellarRAD Systems, LLC (and substantially all the assets of GLA Network Technologies). The acquisition was accomplished through an internal management buy-out by the senior executives and managers, led by GLA's President Jim Moffit, former Chairman and CEO of Everest Global Technologies Group. In addition to Jim Moffit, the senior management team includes Charles Morrison, Michael Roddy, and Shayne Barr.
